Lots of good progress. The game is slowly coming together.

Changelog:

The inventory screen is now more immersive, with its own 3D model and animation.

New skills: slowmo and berserk (increases both the damage you deal and receive).

Separated the cockpit and legs into two different models.

I don't plan to make the game playable in third person view, but at least this way the shadow will correctly show the legs moving in the right direction.

Small weapon sway added when turning around, I might increase it later.

Lots of unused and duplicate textures removed. Sound effects converted to ogg. This should make the game significantly smaller.

New level: Pyramid. It's an ambush where as soon as you enter the arena digital walls appear all around you, and you have to defeat the boss.

The new boss is a mecha dinosaur! It breathes fire at close range, and uses a homing missile at long range.


Aside from that, much of the work of the past month was spent upgrading to Godot 4.4 with jolt, which should improve performance and hopefully reduce the shader compilation stutters.

I know it doesn't look all that impressive, but this game is the culmination of everything I have learned in the past year, and I love working on it.
